A "Per Inquiry" deal in one where you can make available as much of your unsold inventory as you want to advertisers who pay for each conversion from your station's advertising. This system is used on radio, television, newspapers and magazines.
In return for your unsold inventory, the advertiser pays no money upfront, but you will receive a larger amount of revenue after a deal has completed. Often the money receivable from a PI deal is much greater than if you had sold the airtime on a CPT or Price Per Spot basis.
On each enquiry, the advertiser will send you details of each prospective customer and a status report on their progress. Finally on successful conversion, you will receive the amount owed to you each month.
For advertisers, it is often difficult to find PI deals as the media do not want other advertisers to know that they accept PI deals. In the case of Radio Response, the name of our clients are only released to each participating station and each station can keep each PI deal close to their chests.
